The Success Story of the 9th World Conference on Women’s Studies 2023
The 9th World Conference on Women’s Studies — WCWS 2023 was successfully held from 11th–12th May 2023 in Thailand. The conference brought together participants from around the world to discuss key issues in women’s studies, gender equality, and social change.
WCWS 2023 welcomed participants from more than 45 countries, including 40+ physical participants and 50+ virtual participants, creating a strong platform for sharing ideas, experiences, and research across different regions and backgrounds.
The conference focused on important topics such as women’s rights, gender-based violence, social justice, education, healthcare, leadership, economic empowerment, and the role of technology in supporting women’s progress. Participants had the opportunity to present their work, join discussions, and connect with others working toward gender equality.
The program included keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, research presentations, networking opportunities, and publication support. These sessions helped participants exchange knowledge, build new connections, and explore future collaborations.
WCWS 2023 concluded as a meaningful and impactful gathering, strengthening global conversations on women’s studies and encouraging continued action toward a more equal and inclusive world.
Purpose of WCWS 2023
The purpose of the World Conference on Women’s Studies is to offer participants an enriching opportunity to deepen knowledge of global feminisms along with the theoretical, policy, and personal dimensions of Women’s Studies scholar-activism worldwide, engaging with intersecting fields of Gender and Sexuality Studies and the many disciplines that constitute Women’s Studies—all toward building collaborative partnerships, offering publishing opportunities, and enacting visions of a more equitable and liberal world.
